About Ali Holliday

I came to New Zealand in 1999 having met and married a Kiwi. It has been my home since then and is also home to my adult children and my parents.  Although I trained as a solicitor I never practiced and instead involved myself with my husband’s business which amongst other things required the management of several large renovation projects.  It was from these projects that the idea of Chambers began since there were many occasions when it was impossible to find a good quality classic armchair or dining chair at a reasonable price or to find unusual accessories to decorate a property.

Chambers began as a retail outlet and quickly attracted attention from other retailers who wanted to sell our stock too.  Having very quickly decided that retailing was not my discipline I concentrated on the wholesaling and trade aspect of the business which has, to say the least, proven challenging but never boring over the years.

The beautiful island of Java has been my base for the last seven years and during that time I have built up an invaluable network of contacts in many disciplines, people who I know I can trust and who trust me and who can produce almost anything that I want made.  Many are Europeans who supply the European and United States markets so they understand the need for consistency and quality control.

Finally I have reached a point where I can make to order and in any quantity at highly competitive prices and ship anywhere in the world and know that not only will the goods arrive on time but will meet the quality standard expected. So, whether you are a retailer an architect, interior designer or developer I look forward to hearing from you.
